MLA Return to Play Update - May 9

May. 09, 2021

In response to the latest Manitoba Public Health Order, effective immediately the Manitoba Lacrosse Association Board of Directors has moved all sanctioned lacrosse into the RESTRICTED phase of the MLA Return to Play. This will be in effect through May 30th, 2021 when a new Public Health Order is expected to be in place - at which point the MLA BOD will revisit the current phase.

During the RESTRICTED phase, no 1-on-1 or group training/competition is permitted; all sanctioned activity is postponed until further notice.

Though this is certainly difficult news for our athletes and volunteers alike, it is in the best interest of public health to postpone all activities until a time when it is safe to resume. The MLA BOD would like to make it clear that at this point in time, this does not mean a cancellation of any programs or seasons, but a temporary postponement that will be revisited as the situation develops at the end of May.

The MLA is wishing the best for the lacrosse community in these trying times.
