Manitoba Lacrosse is excited to be offering its first year of a Female Provincial A Program. Along with the creation of the Frost Provincial A Program, the Female Frost allows our female athletes an opportunity to experience competitive play in an all female environment.
It is being offered to U15 age (2012-2014) and U12 age (2015-2017).
There will be two ID camps to identify athletes. These camps will be offered for free. One will be in Brandon and one in Winnipeg. Although only attending one is required, it is encouraged to attend both for extra floor time and practice. Both U12 and U15 players will be on the floor at separate ends for the ID camp. The teams will be determined from these camps.
WINNIPEG ID CAMP: February 28 - Gateway Rec - 4:15-5:15 pm
BRANDON ID CAMP: March 14 - Triple Crown - 10:00-11:00 am
The practice schedule for this program will encompass the growth across Manitoba by splitting the teams practices to be in both Winnipeg and West Man. There will be 3 practices in Winnipeg and 3 in Brandon. Athletes will be expected at all the practices, regardless of the location. The dates will be released soon, and will be running on Sundays leading up to the May Long Weekend.
The teams will be travelling to Saskatoon over the May Long Weekend and will be playing multiple games against the Flatland Coyotes. They are the travel team that represents Saskatchewan and will be hosting our teams for some strong competition.
The program cost is $450 per player. This cost includes:
- Team Jersey
- Team Shorts
- Practices
- Coach Expenses
*Hotal and travel to Saskatchewan are at the expense of the individual.
